Solar Energy Generation Will Be Key Focus In Coming Decade
India is expected to add around 850–900 GW of new power capacity by 2035 and reach a total installed capacity of 1,300–1,400 GW. The energy transition will require major investments in transmission grids, wired infrastructure, and smart meters.
According to the OmniScience Capital report:
Wind power capacity is also projected to increase significantly to around 280 GW by 2035, while coal’s share of installed capacity may decline to 24%, though it is still expected to generate nearly 45% of India’s electricity output.
