OmniScience Capital expects India to benefit from rising FPI allocations; overweight on financial services, power and housing finance for the long term

According to OmniScience Capital, the recent shift in foreign portfolio investor (FPI) flows towards Indian equities could mark the beginning of a broader sentiment turnaround. Vikas Gupta, CEO and Chief Investment Strategist at OmniScience Capital, believes the consistent inflows seen in July and August could represent an initial move by global investors to diversify into non-AI assets.

Gupta said this could benefit India as global emerging-market allocations remain skewed towards Taiwan and South Korea, while India remains severely under-allocated despite being the fastest-growing major economy across emerging markets, Asia and the world.
